What is your process?

Our process begins with an initial consultation to understand your needs. We then conduct comprehensive assessments in a safe environment. Finally, we provide detailed reports and recommendations based on our findings.

How long do assessments take?

Standard parenting capacity assessments are typically conducted over a 12-week period, with an additional two weeks required for the final report to be written.

Who conducts the assessments?

Assessments are conducted by qualified and registered social workers, including:

A dedicated in-house Assessing Social Worker

Staff trained in the ParentAssess framework, particularly for working with parents with learning difficulties or autism

Oversight and guidance provided by the Clinical Director and Lead Psychotherapist
All assessors work within a therapeutic, trauma-informed model in line with best practice and legal requirements.

What if I have concerns?

Flourish operates an open-door policy, encouraging families to raise concerns at any time.
Weekly meetings are held with key workers and managers, and parents are supported to discuss:

Assessment feedback
Risk concerns
Legal or safeguarding matters

Families also receive their daily logs and weekly updates, and are encouraged to provide comments or discuss any issues with staff.

In the case of serious concerns or complaints, Flourish has a dedicated Complaints Policy and Procedure in place.

How do I get started?

Referrals are typically made by Local Authorities. The Registered Manager reviews all referrals, including:
A completed referral form
A Letter of Instruction (if the case is in family proceedings)
Relevant supporting documents
